Smugglers Cove Inn is a very comfortable inn close to the harbour. Its location makes it easy to walk every where. The inn itself if very clean and our room on the third floor was among the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Also, we requested a quiet room and our request was granted. We were pleased with the anemities in our room, such as a decent sized fridge and large armoir for hanging clothes and storage. Good value for money and strongly recommended for people wishing to experience true Maritime charm.
No negatives about the hotel, other than the street parking which cant be prevented.
good location, nice staff
My only complaint is the cost, but I understand all the accommodations in Lunenburg are expensive.
Could not contact any staff until 9:30 am or later I believe and front desk was not opened until then. We needed to leave and could not find where to leave keys as there were no staff to be found.
Beds were fantastic.
Power went out during the night and the stairwell did not have emergency lighting.
The beds were comfortable. The room was clean, the front desk staff were exceptional.
Nothing much except for there was no pop machine after the front desk close at eight Pm
We found the staff and people of Lunenburg very warm and friendly.Lunenburg is a beautiful place to visit and the warmth of your staff added to our most memorable stay.Thank you so much and we will return.
This is certainly not a complaint. We found the room a bit small for our needs. However,we did enjoy our stay.Thnak you again.
It is a charming hotel in a wonderful location right in the town of Lunenberg. The room was comfortable and the staff was excellent.
A very nice place. One of the best beds of all the places we stayed in Nova Scotia. Very central location making access to all shops, restuarants and all sight seeing accessable by walking. At first I was concerned with no available parking. However, there were always spots available within a block of the hotel even during the busy festival weekend. The little cafe off the main lobby served a great breakfast. They even has gluten free bread and granola available! Most important of all, the front desk and housekeeping staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and efficient.
The plumbing drains were a little smelly.
I liked the staff the most. I dealt mostly with a young German woman here working on her university break. She was pleasant, kind, welcoming, and checked in with me several times about how my trip was going. It was the kind of service that seems to be disappearing in the world. I was very impressed. I also thought the hotel was attractive, comfortable and in a great location.
Smugglers Cove Inn has everything necessary for a quiet, luxurious stay in a delightful town on the water. The room was spacious, neat as a pin, well-equipped (including refrig), conveniently located with attention paid to detail. Although most places in Lunenburg are walk-ups, Smugglers Cove Inn has an elevator as well as a gift shop and bistro on premises. Eva greeted me with a smile at the front desk and was available to provide conversation, suggestions or provide whatever might be necessary. The beds are great....I Slept like a baby. This place has my highest recommendation.
a bit of a rough start as there was a confusion in our reservation, but really liked the way the owner and staff were quick to look after us and it made our stay very comfortable. It was their error but they went above and beyond to resolve our situation. Their accomodations were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend their Inn.
It was a very busy week-end in Lunenburg and there was a problem with parking. Am sure it would be fine on any normal weekend.
Service, Non service at all.
Very clean and modern rooms with great layout (common relaxation areas on each floor) and friendly staff. Located in the center of Lunenburg, this Inn was within walking distance to everything!
It was a very plesant stay. Everything was great!!! We hade a great time. We had a little reservaton problem, but they very effieciently corrected it.
Everything was very clean! Comfortable room with a great location and good price.
It wasn't a real issue but I didn't see a staff member the whole time I was there. I checked in at 7:30pm and the front desk was closed, however, my key was left in an envelope on the desk. Same thing when I checked out 2 days later at 10:30am.
